After years working for adventure companies and creating different online services for outdoor activities, this gave me the possibility to connect with many companies for different activities like hiking, trekking, kayaking, bicycle, and others. My idea is to select the best experiences and create a website with all the information, tracks, itinerary, photographs, cost, etc.
South America has the second highest mountain outside of Asia and it has interesting history, native cultures, untouched places, nature, and uncommon wild lands. All of this creates an incredible context for amazing experiences in the mountains, rivers, jungle and valleys of South America.
Another important part of selecting these specific experiences in South America is the service and the human qualities of the crew in every adventure and experience.
They are the best in each specific trip.
Argentina and Chile share the Andian Mountains for more than 3293 miles, and the influence of the Atlantic Ocean and the Pacific Ocean create specific conditions. For example, in the northern part of Argentina, you can find jungles and forests very high in the mountains because the humidity comes from the east and falls like rain. After that, nothing passes to the west because the northern part of Chile is really dry.
The opposite happens to the south of these countries. The humidity comes from the Pacific Ocean and stops on the Andian Mountains and big forests grow in Chile but not in Argentina.
The second big reason for the amazing mountains in Argentina and Chile is geology. In simple words, the angle of contact between the South American Plate and Nazca Plate changes from south to north, and this change produces the active volcanoes in the South and the big but passive volcanoes in the North with more than 22.000 feet. We can add the action of years of ice erosion to the mountains and valleys.
Finally, to complete the experience, we can find real and wild nature living in harmony with old cultures, share food, music, activities, learn about them and their experiences living over 15,000 feet in elevation.
Nevado del Chañi is located in the northern part of Argentina in the Province of Jujuy.
With an altitude of 19,455 ft is the tallest summit in Jujuy.
San Francisco volcano, is a stratovolcano on the border between Argentina and Chile, located just southeast of San Francisco Pass. It is considered extinct and is one of the several 6,000 m (19,700 ft) peaks in the area.
